We can also arrange a private vehicle if you are in the group of 4 to 5 individuals. First, the vehicle will drive through the Besisahar, which is 178 km from Kathmandu and takes five to six hours.
After arriving in Besisahar, the route to Dharapani is entirely off-road. You will begin your hiking tomorrow morning from Dharapani village, which is two to three hours away. We will spend the night in Dharapani and savor the mouthwatering food.

Today’s Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek journey stop will be at Chame village. We will climb a steep hill in the first part, and later it will be easy. We will walk following the Marsyangdi Khola River, which looks stunning. We will head to Timang village, passing through the juniper forests.

We’ll stay at a comfortable hotel in Manang where you can unwind.

We’ll pass through the Khangsar Village, crossing the river. Then, we will head uphill to Shree Kharka. We will be walking past Tare Gumba monastery and climbing uphill. After walking five hours, we will finally reach today’s Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek destination, where we will spend overnight.

After a delicious breakfast, we will leave Shree Kharka and travel to Tilicho Base Camp. We will head towards the Yak Kharka from the Shree Kharka as we Tilicho retrace steps back to Shree Kharka following the same route. We will begin our excursion early in the morning after eating a tasty breakfast. We will reach Shree Kharka in 2 to 3 hours walking downhill.
We will be walking through rugged and rough paths on the way down. Along the way, we will cross small rivers, bridges, waterfalls, and lush jungles. We will reach Yak Kharka after walking a total of 6 to 7 hours from Tilicho Base Camp.
You can see terraced farmlands and stone houses in Yak Kharka. We will sleep the night here on the teahouse on this eleventh day of Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek. Tomorrow we will hike to Thorong Phedi, where we will go to Thorong La Pass from there.

We will take a few minutes of rest and again continue our hike towards Thorong Phedi Camp. Along the way, we need to cross a large suspension bridge to get to the other side of the valley. Following a precipitous ascent, we will traverse a landslide-prone area to arrive at Thorong High Camp, the base camp for ascending the Annapurna range.

Today, we’ll reach the world’s highest pass, Thorong La Pass, which stands 5416 meters above sea level. This is also the most difficult trekking day on the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek. So, when hiking, you should keep calm, hydrated, and focused.
We will awaken early and commence our journey to summit the Thorong La Pass. The climb is very steep and hard. We will see prayer flags and chortens on the way, which makes our day more enjoyable even though the climb is tough.
After reaching the summit, you may witness panoramic views of Annapurna Mastiff, Mount Kailash, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, and other snow-capped peaks, including Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world’s deepest gorge. Then we’ll descend to Muktinath, where we’ll stay for the night.

We will trek to Jomsom on this fourteenth day of Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek 17-day excursion. But before that, we will visit a major holy Buddhist and Hindu pilgrim, Muktinath Temple, devoted to Vishnu god. You can see 108 stone waterspouts and an eternal flame burning.
Then, we’ll set out for Jomsom Bazar, traversing rivers, going through beautiful Lubra Valley. You will get to see one of the most amazing views of Dhaulagiri and many other mountain from the top of Lubra view point. The trail is very simple gradual uphill with beautiful scenic views. We will carry on from this point on our trip and arrive in Jomsom after four or five hours of walking. One of the chilly valleys, Jomsom is well-known for its delicious apples. Here, we shall spend the night.

Flight from Jomsom is very uncertain because of the weather. So, we suggest a scenic drive to Pokhara rather than waiting for a flight. We have a great breakfast at the teahouse before boarding an early flight from Jomsom airport to Pokhara. During the trip, you may take in the breathtaking scenery, mountains, and Kali Gandaki Gorge from above. Or, we will drive to Pokhara in comfortable private jeep. We will spend one night in a typical tourist hotel close to the lakeside area after we get in Pokhara.
After that, we’ll spend the entire day touring Pokhara’s top sights, including David’s Fall, Rupa Lake, Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, Bat Cave, Begnas Lake, Mahendra Cave, and Bindabasini Temple. We are going to take a boat ride on Phewa Lake and visit the Taal Barahi Temple. Pokhara’s nightlife is also available along the lakefront.

The bus will ride along the Marsyangdi and Trisuli Khola rivers. The bus will stop at different spots for breaks and lunch.
We will eventually arrive in Kathmandu after a grueling seven to eight hours of driving. Alternatively, if you would like to save time and see more of Kathmandu, you might opt for a 120-dollar flight to Kathmandu from Pokhara. Before departing Nepal, this will be the final night spent in Kathmandu.

The minimum walk per day will be three to four hours while trekking to Tilicho Lake from Shree Kharka on the ninth day. Similarly, the maximum walk per day will be seven to eight hours while crossing Thorong La Pass to reach Muktinath from Thorong High Camp on day 13 in this Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek.
However, you are trekking a total of 12 days out of 17 days in this journey in which you have to walk an average of 5 to 6 hours daily. So, you must come prepared before embarking on this challenging trek otherwise you may have to face many health problems like altitude sickness, weariness, pain etc.
On this Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek excursion, you will get twin sharing bed basic rooms in teahouses when trekking. While you are in Pokhara, you will stay in a standard tourist hotel and 3-star hotel in Kathmandu. Teahouses offer basic amenities like toilets, rooms, blankets, charging spots, internet, etc.
But you need to pay some extra charge for some of these amenities due to their remote location in the higher altitudes. You will be getting 16 breakfasts, 15 lunches, and 14 suppers in this 17-day trip. The foods served by the lodges are healthy and clean. Most of them served local dishes, while some even served western dishes too.
Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek requires two permits, namely a TIMS card and ACAP permits.
The charge of TIMS for non-SAARC folks is NPR 2000, while for SAARC country citizens it is NPR 600. Similarly, for the ACAP, foreigners are charged NPR 2000, while SAARC country citizens are charged NPR 200, the cost of which does not include 13% VAT. ACAP permit is not required below 10-year-old children.
These cards are necessary because they will help you in the rescue operation if you get injured or in emergency cases and in the protection and management of the Annapurna region.
All the transportation cost is covered in our Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek. You will be travelling to Dharapani from Kathmandu in a shared jeep. However, we can also book a private vehicle if you are in a group of 4 to 5 people. We are flying to Pokhara from Jomsom which is also included in the package, no extra cost is required.
However, if you want to fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you have to pay an extra 120 dollars which is not included in the package, but we suggest you travel in a luxury tourist bus to Kathmandu to enjoy the picturesque drive. We also provide free pick up and drop off service when you arrive and leave Nepal.
The Annapurna with Tilicho Lake Trek is challenging and requires travel insurance. You have to show a replica of your insurance policy, which reserves you a cover for medical emergencies, high-altitude rescue, and evacuation.
