Likewise, in the autumn season, you can see a clear view of panoramic snow-capped peaks, and the temperature will also be very moderate. You get to enjoy the major festivities of Nepal, which come in this season.
However, monsoon and winter seasons are not suitable because winter brings cold and monsoon makes trails muddy and slippery, which makes trekking journeys more difficult and demanding. Without considering extra precautions, you will not be able to complete your journey successfully in these seasons.
In this Nar Phu Valley with Annapurna Circuit Trek 17-Day itinerary journey, you have to travel around 261 km or 162 miles to Dharapani from Kathmandu City via vehicle on the second day where your hiking trip will start.
Similarly, you have to walk around 80.5 kilometers from Dharapani to Nar Village in 6 days. Moreover, the total walking distance from start to end of your trek is approximately 144 kilometers. The highest elevation will be 5416 meters when you cross Thorong La Pass on day 13.
Likewise, the high Kang La Pass is the second highest point along this route at an impressive height of 5320 meters. So, when you hike at altitudes over 4000 and 5000 meters, pay attention to the symptoms of altitude sickness.
The Nar Phu Valley with Annapurna Circuit Trek 17-Day Journey is difficult and should only be attempted by experienced trekkers who are familiar with Himalayan treks and high elevations.
Those who are not physically fit cannot simply finish this walk. You need to be in good shape and have strong mentality as well as endurance to handle any kind of obstacle.
The hardest part of this trek is when you cross 2 passes, namely Kang La Pass and Thorong La Pass, which are above 5000 meters. So, there is a high risk that you may suffer from acute mountain sickness (AMS) if necessary, preventions and precautions are not taken properly and carefully.
When hiking higher altitudes in mountainous locations, you should be aware of symptoms such as appetite loss, difficulty sleeping, headache, dizziness, shortness of breath, etc.
You may lessen these risks by practicing a few habits including drinking plenty of water, dressing in layers, eating a balanced diet, and getting enough sleep.
Regular trekking takes five to six hours, making the Nar Phu Valley with Annapurna Circuit Trek 17-Day a moderately demanding trek. On day 6, your acclimatization day at Phu Gaon, when you take a short trip to Tashi Lhakhang, the minimum amount of walking you must do each day is two to three hours.
Similarly, you will have to walk a minimum of 3 hours on days 11 and 14 when you trek to Yak Kharka and Jomsom. The maximum walk per day can be 8 hours when you cross Kang La Pass and Thorong La Pass on days 9 and 13, respectively.
So, you need to be mentally and physically fit with prior training and preparations before planning this challenging and adventurous excursion. Without any training and exercises, it will be very burdensome for you to walk on the steep trails and rugged terrain, which can cause many problems to your health too.
You can find comfortable standard accommodation for two nights in Kathmandu and one night in Pokhara on Nar Phu Valley with the Annapurna Circuit Trek 17-Day itinerary. However, you will be staying in the basic lodge or teahouse for 14 nights while you are trekking.
You have to pay extra charges for the internet, electricity, and showers on these teahouses due to their remote location. Likewise, these teahouses mostly serve typical Nepali dishes like daal bhat, pickles, and vegetables. You’ll have breakfast and dinner, where you will spend overnight and lunches along the trail.
Besides, you can savor a wide range of drinks such as coffee, tea, milk, soft drink, beer, etc. Nevertheless, these costs are outside the package you purchased. The other food and drink items not provided in the package must be paid for by you.
A journey to Nar Phu Valley with Annapurna Circuit Trek 17-Day requires three important permits. For this, a permit for the Annapurna conservation area entry, a TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) permit, and a special government trekking permit are required. So, keep in mind to have all required documents to apply for this permit.
All your transportation expenditures are included in the Nar Phu Valley with Annapurna Circuit Trek 17-Day. On the first day, we will pick you up from the airport and transfer you to your accommodation. In the same vein, we are traveling by private vehicle to Dharapani from Kathmandu City in the morning.
