This is the third day of our trip. Our journey starts after having breakfast. The trek is approximately 11 kilometres from Phakding to Namche Bazar. On this day, we land our steps in the Khumbu region. Today’s trek starts with an elevation of 2,610 and ends with 3,440 meters. The trek is challenging because it has steep ascents, a rough and dirty path, and suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River.
Later we pass through the little checkpoint of Monjo for verification of our access to Sagarmatha National Park. Subsequently, we’ll continue our journey nearby to the Dudh Koshi River and exploring the village of Jorsalle. After having a lunch, we will ascend to the Namche Bazar and have the first glimpse of Mount Everest, if the weather is good.

Today we have a considerable distance and several sites to discover. Sticking to the tricky path, we start our journey after breakfast. We arrive in Gorakshep at noon after crossing the rugged terrain and glacial path. The beautiful town of Gorakshep provides accommodation and food at an elevation of 5000 meters, becoming its final populated place.
After lunch, we leave our backpacks and trek to the Everest Base Camp (5364m/17,270ft). The altitude renders the endeavour difficult and exhausting; nonetheless, the incredible views of Mt. Everest, the world’s tallest peak, satisfy your need to approach this colossal summit closely. The round-trip journey from Gorakshep takes around 4 hours, with an additional 30-45 minutes for the photographs. Eventually, we’ll move down to Gorakshep where we spend a night there.

Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return - Trip Information
Our 12-day EBC trek with Heli return will start from Kathmandu. We take a direct flight from Kathmandu to Lukla will take approximately 30 minutes.
Our journey will begin from Lukla which is nearby the Dudhkoshi River. After walking through the Sagarmatha National Park eventually, we will land at the Namche Bazar.
This is our acclimatization place, a beautiful town situated in the Khumbu region.
Our trek will become more exciting and thrilling as we move to the amazing green forest, landscapes, and mountains on our way to Tengboche. When we land our steps, we’ll move to the Tengboche monastery and learn about their lifestyle, customs, and traditions.
After exploring Tengboche, our next destination will be Dingboche and later Lobuche. In addition, we’ll have impeccable views of mountains like Mt. Aba Dalam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho-Oyu and several others.
During our trek, we’ll able to visit Gorok Shep, Khumbu Glacier and eventually Everest Base Camp. At EBC point, you can take panoramic photos of Mount Everest. Will you have good photographs highly dependent on the climate and weather? However, the climate is not usually harsh.
The next morning, we’ll ascend our steps to the Kala Patthar (564,4 m) to see sunrise over the mountains. After spending some golden time, we’ll return back to Gorakshep in a shared helicopter. You should be physically and mentally fit before commencing your EBC camp with the Heli tour. If you do not have trekking experience, you may start with cardio exercise, cycling, or jogging some weeks before the trip. To lower the risk of altitude sickness, we have allocated two days for rest and acclimatization in Namche and Dingboche. Still, if a trekker feels symptoms of sickness. You can go down to the lower elevation. To minimize symptoms of Altitude sickness, we provide Acetazolamide (Diamox) to our trekkers.
We also suggest that our trek members have plenty of fluids, water and juices before and throughout our journey.
